Handy Helper Spotlight: Bosch BLAZE™ Pro GLM165-40 Laser Measure
When you’re out on the job, the last thing you need is to wrestle a floppy tape measure or guess at your numbers.
You need tools that are fast, tough, and dead-on accurate — no drama.
That’s where the Bosch BLAZE™ Pro GLM165-40 Laser Measure comes in.
This little beast is packed with features but simple enough that you won’t waste your day figuring it out.
Here’s why we’re throwing the BCB stamp of approval on it:
📏 Real-Time Precision
The Bosch BLAZE™ Pro delivers real-time measurements up to 165 feet. No waiting. No math headaches. Just point, click, and get your number — even when you're working solo.
And when we say precise, we mean within 1/16 of an inch.
(That's tighter than most tape measures on a good day.)
📏 Built for Real Life
Backlit Display — Easy to read even in bad lighting.
Pocket-Sized — Toss it in your pocket or your tool bag and roll.
Rugged and Reliable — Bosch didn’t build this thing for a desk drawer. It’s made to be used (and a little abused).
📏 Smart Features, No Nonsense
Distance, area, volume — calculated instantly.
Add and subtract measurements right on the device.
Stores up to 10 measurements so you can size up multiple jobs without needing to write them down.
Whether you’re framing up a house, laying concrete, or setting a fence line, this tool cuts your measuring time in half and levels up your accuracy.
🛠️ Final Verdict:
If you’re serious about getting the job done right (and fast), the Bosch BLAZE™ Pro needs a permanent spot in your kit.
No second-guessing. No stretching tapes across a job site hoping for a miracle.

Job Site Shenanigans
What’s the most ridiculous thing that’s happened on your job site? Drop your best stories in the comments!
For me, there are too many to choose from, but one of my favorites has to be this:
I was working on a golf course that was shut down while we were trenching for power and lighting. It was just me, an apprentice, and a “foreman” (and by foreman, I mean a Southern Missouri hillbilly with no license, no work vehicle, and no motivation). Instead of working, he spent his days collecting golf balls.
So, one day, the apprentice and I decided to hide them... inside every product box we could find—coupling boxes, connector boxes, wirenut boxes—you name it. His stash was still there, just well hidden.
When he realized what happened? His meltdown was legendary. Honestly, he probably would have sued us if he hadn’t stolen the golf balls first.
